Wetland Park

Today felt like such a normal day - laundry, playdate, chatting with friends . . . so great :)

My main concern this morning was finding laundry - we didn't bring many winter clothes and it is a bit colder here than Malaysia. Tas and I found an indoor slide and after getting scolded in Chinese about how my child was not properly dressed I also needed go shopping for kid jackets. Once errands were finished we met up with Jess and family at the playground around the block. The boys (Makoa and Kai) had so much fun playing games and being silly together. Don brought Tas down when she woke up and then had to get some work done so the rest of us hopped on the train to Wetland Park.

There was a maze out front, too fun!

And we had to be careful of those slippy lawns that get you every time :)

In the park there was an indoor play area with giant slides and fake wildlife.

Then we were ready to explore that wetlands. This whole area used to be wetlands but they built everywhere else up and kept this area natural. It is kind of like the Sacramento Wildlife Reserve, and the kids liked the water and animals.

There was a spot where the kids could play and although there were no tadpoles or fish today there was mud and rocks to play with.

I am so happy we made it here today, my family had fun!

The park was closing so we had to leave, the kids played in the maze for another hour before we had to leave!
