The movers arrived at 8am on Monday and to say it was a tiring and hectic day is an understatement. Tas woke up saying 'where'd it go? where'd it go?' pointing to where the couch and tv were when she went to bed. Then when we opened the back door she collapsed in heartache with the trampoline and swing set gone. Don decided to load the kids in the car for a coffee run in hopes of calming everyone down. He then texted me an hour later that he was at the Blue Mountains. They came back about 1pm and Makoa and I played among the boxes and Don brought our bags to the hotel.
Then we did a kid swap and I ran to return the rental car and we each took the train to our new digs, the
AEA Apartments at Circular Quay. The location was fabulous - 1 block from the train stationand Wagamama and convenience store next door. There was a washer and dryer in the room (major plus), full kitchen, and a separate bedroom. However, what I missed on the discount website that I booked from was that the sofa bed would not come with linens unless you wanted to pay $40 (didn't expect to break out the sleep sacs in Sydney!) and it is a 'self-serviced' apartment meaning we had to take out trashes and put away dishes before we left. Ah well, what you sacrifice for a great deal and a fantastic location!
